PRAYAGRAJ: Observing that the cow should be declared the national animal and its prection be made a fundamental of the Hindus because when the country’s culture and its fa th get hurt, the country becomes weak, the Allahabad high court on Wednesday denied bail to a man accused of cow slaughter.

阿拉哈巴德高等法院注意到，牛应该被宣布为国家级动物，保护牛应该成为印度教徒的基本权利，当国家的文化和信仰受到伤害时，国家就会变得虚弱。周三，阿拉哈巴德高等法院拒绝批准保释一名被控屠宰牛的男子。

Denying bail to Javed of UP’s Sambhal district, Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav in his 12-page judgement ned that the applicant had, after committing theft of the cow, killed it, beheaded it and also kept its meat.

法官Shekhar Kumar Yadav在长达12页的判决中拒绝了北方邦桑巴勒地区的贾维德的保释请求，他指出，这位申请人盗窃了牛后，杀了牛，砍下了牛的头，还保留了牛肉。

"This is not the first offence of the applicant. Earlier also, he had committed cow slaughter which had disturbed the harmony of the society," the court said as it found that if the applicant was released on bail, he would again commit the same offence which will vitiate the environment of the society.

Rejecting the bail application, the court further observed, "Fundamental is not only the prerogative of beef eaters. Rather, those who worship the cow and are financially dependent on them also have the to lead a purposeful life. The to life is above the to kill and the to eat beef can never be considered a fundamental ."

法院驳回了保释申请，并表示:“基本权利不仅仅是吃牛肉者的特权。相反，那些崇拜牛并在经济上依赖牛的人也有权过生活。生命权高于杀戮的权利，吃牛肉的权利永远不能被视为基本权利。”

The court said, "The go nment will also have to bring a bill in Parliament and declare cows the national animal and make strict laws ag inst those who talk about harming them

"Cow prection and promotion are not about any one re gion, but cow is the culture of India and the work of saving the culture is of every citizen living in the country, irrespective of re gion or worship," the court added.

法院补充说：“保护和宣传牛无关任何一种宗教，但牛是印度的文化，拯救这种文化是生活在这个国家的每个公民的义务，无论其宗教或信仰是什么。”
