Police Update: Search And Rescue Operation At Aurukun
Police have released an image of a 60-year-old man reporting missing at Aurukun today, as the search and rescue operation continues.
Adam Yunkaporta (pictured) was last seen leaving his home at approximately midday on Thursday January 30, and has not been seen or heard from since.
He is believed to have headed to the mouth of the Ward, Watson and Archer Rivers to go fishing.
Police, State and Emergency Service volunteers, aerial assets including a helicopter and drone, and a wildlife ranger have deployed to the region to assist in search efforts.
Adam is described as First Nations with brown eyes and dark short hair. He was last seen wearing black shorts and a blue coloured fishing shirt that showed an image of a barramundi.
Police appeal for Adam, or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts, to come forward.
