　　Emerging from the bar chart is a remarkable change in the average hours of the students’ use of computers in a certain Chinese university。 To be specific， in the year of 2000， the average number of hours spent by the college students was merely about one hour， however it soared to nearly 8 hours after another ten years， and in 2015 it reached the peak at approximately 18 hours。

　　It is of no difficulty for us to come up with some factors responsible for this change。 In the first place， computers do facilitate people in such aspects as instant communication， rich information， word processing， and multimedia presentations。 In the light of a recent Internet survey， nearly 80% of university students prefer getting information from the Internet rather than the books or newspapers。 In addition， since 2000， the prices of computer as well as the Internet usage charges have dropped significantly， which contributes to the increasing of the students to have access to them。 Finally， students can obtain the visual enjoyment， relaxation and entertainment by listening to music or playing computer games。

　　Taking into account what has been argued so far， a sound conclusion can be drawn that this phenomenon is nothing but normal and acceptable。 But we also need to balance study and relaxation by computer because too many students indulge in playing computer games and neglect their study。
