5月18日，马云参加香港大学举办的第199届学位颁授典礼，他获颁名誉社会科学博士，这已是马云获得的第5个荣誉博士。当天，马云在港大用英文发表精彩演讲，在演讲中他强调：阿里一路走来，唯一做对的事就是 NEVER GIVE UP 永不放弃.

马云在现场发表了全英文演讲，并在演讲中力挺香港年轻人。他说，内地有巨大市场，香港有优秀人才和资本。香港的年轻人眼睛不能只盯着香港，而是要向世界看。

I think (in) the next 30 years the world gonna (is going to) change a lot. The new technology is gonna (going to) change every aspect of the world, if we do not want (to) make this technology revolution become a social revolution, we have to change from now.

我认为未来三十年世界会发生巨变。新的技术革命会改变世界的方方面面，如果我们不希望这个技术变革变成社会革命，我们就要从现在开始准备。

Among the old (all the) challenges, I think the most challenging thing is about education. Even if today the best university of the world will face the same challenges: because everything we teach our kids are the things that the past 200 years, the things we taught them, the machine will do better.

我们会面临巨大的挑战，所有的挑战当中，教育的挑战是最大的。现在即使是最好的学校，也面临这个问题：我们现在教给孩子的，和200年前教给他们的没有区别，机器会做的更好。

So we have to think about what is the best way, what are the contents to teach our kids in the future. We have to teach the kids that win machines, and the machine will never be able to win the man. Because the machine only have (has) the chips, human have the heart. So I think we have (has) to change from now the education system.

所以我们必须想到，我们未来将会教给我们孩子什么是最好的。我们必须教给他们机器赢不了的。机器只有chip，而我们有heart。我们现在必须改变教育系统。

The future is not a competition for knowledge, but for creativity and imagination. It is a competition for learning ability and independent thinking. If you think like a machine, problems will follow.

未来不是知识的竞争，而是创造力和想象力的竞争，是学习能力的竞争，是独立思考的竞争。如果你像机器一样思考，那么问题就会接踵而至。

In the past 20 years, we made people like machine. Next 20 years, machine would look like people.

过去的20年中，我们把人变得像机器。未来20年，我们会让机器变得像人。

In the future it's not knowledge driven, it's the wisdom driven, it's the experience driven; In the past it's the manufacture driven, and in the future is the creativity driven.

未来，将不再是知识驱动，而是智慧驱动，是体验驱动；过去是知识和制造业驱动，未来则将是创造驱动；

In the future, the world should not only focus on IQ and EQ, but also on LQ, the Q of love. Only when you care others, and others that succeed, are more successful than you are, can you have the chance.

未来世界将不应只关注智商和情商，更要关注爱商。只有当你关心其他人，其他人比你更成功的时候，你才有机会。

这次演讲不是马云第一次秀英语。

2018年1月在瑞士达沃斯召开的世界经济论坛，座上宾个个大人物。（下图）最右坐着世界首富比尔·盖茨，中间至最左是挪威女首相索尔·贝格、卢森堡首相贝特、国际货币基金组织总裁拉加德。马云个子最小，穿得也低调，可这位宴会主人站在国家首脑和世界首富边上，毫不露怯，实力飚英语。

2017年马云现场对话纽约时报的首席记者索尔金，问题尖锐得要捂耳朵，但他全程笃定，用英语三言两语就能霸气回应。比如淘宝盗版假货问题，他说，这些造假卖假的商家会直接被大数据系统定位，移交警方处理。
